Stepping Out is a division of Options Residential, Inc, which offers Community Residential Services to adults with a primary diagnosis of Prader-Willi syndrome. Our residents live in 4-person group homes in Hastings, Minnesota. They are supported by a dedicated, caring staff that will help them fully experience life while managing their condition.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Coordinator to lead one of our program sites at Stepping Out!

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of one specific program location in a manner that promotes Person-Centered service delivery while implementing, promoting, monitoring, and creating an inclusive environment by assuring that core Stepping Out philosophy and programs are adhered to consistently by all staff. The Program Coordinator will work directly with residents, providing direct care. They will also supervise the Direct Support Professional Staff at that location.

Requirements for this position include 1 of the following:

  • a bachelor's degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; OR
  • an associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; OR
  • a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post-secondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; OR
  • a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications of Program Supervisor I or Designated Coordinator/Manager level as defined by the Department of Human Services 245D license standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and training in Prader-Willi syndrome is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required of every employee as you will be required to drive either a company vehicle or your own vehicle to perform certain job responsibilities.
