Wages and Benefits

SCHEDULE

This position is in-person and located in an office setting. The building is accessible and smoke free. The Intake Coordinator works during normal business hours.

A Typical Day in the Life...

A typical day as Solid Ground's Intake Coordinator provides an opportunity to provide essential support for Solid Ground programs by coordinating all aspects of the referral and intake process. Other responsibilities will include the following:

  • Requesting referrals for vacancies for all programs from referring partners.
  • Verifying program eligibility and requesting additional documentation as needed.
  • Accurately entering participants into the Client Databases (Client Track and HMIS).
  • Scheduling intake appointments with support team which includes the Family Advocate, Housing Navigator and Children's Services Specialist.
  • Collaborating with Program Managers to determine program vacancies.
  • Being available to address service eligibility questions.
  • Creating and maintaining all electronic and physical participant files.
  • Performing clerical work such as making phone calls, filing, copying, and faxing.
  • Assisting with annual recertifications for all programs; this includes requesting required documentation such as income, changes in household, etc.
  • Providing referrals to other social services agencies, if necessary, to assist participants in achieving the goal of zero balance.

Who You Are

  • You hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • You have one year of experience providing clerical or administrative work, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • You have previous experience working with underserved communities and families experiencing behavioral and/or mental health issues, chemical dependency/substance abuse, homelessness and/or other barriers that affect participants.
  • You demonstrate an understanding and commitment to 'Housing First' philosophy and Trauma Informed practices.
  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • You understand the importance of excellent customer service and being professional.
  • You are skilled with computers, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • You have the ability to maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers.
  • You have the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • You have a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet Solid Ground's driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of state).
