GENERAL PURPOSE

Working on the Legrand | AV digital experience team, the E-Commerce Product Data Coordinator is responsible for the accuracy of item attributes throughout the lifecycle of the product, analyzing and monitoring item attributes for completeness and quality, managing data sources, resolving item attribute issues, and documenting best practices.You must be able to work independently and be passionate about product data management.This position will be a hybrid working position out of our Eden Prairie, MN office.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be passionate about data quality and continuously strive to promote data quality and consistency and effective data control
  • Ensure data quality best practices are met and drive continuous improvement to achieve operational and data quality excellence.
  • Assist other departments in the design of quality edit checks to ensure data quality objectives are met, as well as participate in cross-functional teams on development and improvement.
  • Execute item set up, data entry and management of product detail for Legrandav.com
  • Able to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities
  • Analyze and manipulate large data sets using advanced Excel functions and formulas
  • Ongoing and detailed analysis of data quality, the identification of anomalies and discrepancies.
  • Establish, monitor, and track key performance indicators as it relates to quality assurance and performance.
  • Document and train teams on data quality standards and best practices
  • Understand the impacts of item data attribute accuracy to customers to achieve optimal results
  • Troubleshoot issues and creatively approach problems
  • Develop Excel analysis to assess product and/or initiative performance and to identify opportunities
  • Identify most reliable data sources for your item attributes and manage that data acquisition accordingly
  • Conduct competitor analysis on data attribute values and terms used in the industry
  • Work with marketing content specialist on gathering needed data, resources, and assets, and guide them in updating existing data
  • Create, manage and document item attribute definitions in the AV division data dictionary, ensuring alignment with Legrand Product Data Quality guidelines.
  • Consult with user experience team to provide clarity on item structure, including management of product hierarchy within the CMS and PIM system
  • Maintain adherence to industry standard item attribute naming conventions for easier mapping to external data sources.
  • Build strong working relationships with Marketing, UX, IT, and Developers across all levels including leadership.
  • Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Basic understanding of product information management
  • Beginner Level in Microsoft Excel, able to build basic formulas and manage spreadsheets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including intermediate-level skills such as VLOOKUP and PivotTables, is required.

Special Job Requirements:

  • Must be available for long, varied work hours at times on release nights or to resolve high impact production issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or other related technical degree with a minimum of two (2) years' experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience working within a multi-location global organization
  • Experience with a website content management system, ecommerce platform or syndication tools like Product Up!

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard.

  • Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel
