Currently looking for qualified individuals to join a new digital utility locating division. Company is the largest utility locating company in the United States. The perform approximately 70 million locates per year.
These individuals will be working in the Digital Location Team. When a utility locate in requested a "ticket" or order is created ("call before you dig"). The ticket will initially go to the Digital Locate team for research. These individuals will look at blueprints, enter location coordinates into mapping applications, like Google Maps, and utilize internal databases to determine if they needs to send a Field Technician to the site. If these individuals determine that a Field Technician is not needed to locate utilities, then the ticket will be cleared out and the excavation can start.
- No utilities issues, clear site (no field tech dispatched)
- Potential utilities issue (Ticket sent to Dispatcher for field tech to be sent out)
This group as been a huge cost savings to the company. They prevent field techs being sent to sites when they are not needed. The Digital Location Team closes out around 24% of tickets prior to a tech being sent out. This group saves the company $5-8 per ticket.
Shift: Monday-Friday (10AM-7PM), but candidates need to be able to work until 7:30-8:00PM. 40 hours per week + OT.
Advancement Opportunity: Outside of quarterly pay increases, they promote from within. Person can move into Lead or Supervisor position down the road.
