Quality Engineer (in KY)

We are searching to fill a full time Quality Engineer position with an automotive supplier located in the Bowling Green / Franklin, KY area.

SALARY RANGE:

• · $80K TO $90K (max) per year.
  
• · There is no relocation assistance so you would have to be able to commute or relocate closer at your own expense.
  

MUST HAVES:

• · BS Degree in related field
  
• · Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably in automotive
  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Monitor and reduce customer PPM through in-process defect analysis and problem solving.

· Lead the root cause and countermeasure activity for Customer, internal, and supplier related corrective actions.

· Support the IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 management systems.

· Maintain awareness of quality related topics (customer issues, audits, etc.) with all NMMI personnel

· Review and submit new model PPAP documents such as PFMEA, control plans, PSW etc.

· Support departmental and companywide suggestion system by acting as role model and resource for completion of projects.

· Support department and companywide 6S program through leading by example and ensuring their work area is meeting company 6S target.

· Act as the voice of the customer, including direct interaction with the customer and establishment as the first line of communication to the customer.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• · B.S. degree in related field
  
• · Problem solving methodology (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
  
• · Blueprint reading / specification interpretation
  
• · Quality Core Tools knowledge; certification a plus
  
• · ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 internal auditor experience; certification a plus
