Commercial Roofing Estimator

Role Overview: As a Commercial Roofing Estimator, you’ll be the bridge between our clients’ needs and our roofing expertise. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate project estimates, timely bids, and successful project execution. Your attention to detail and ability to analyze roofing specifications will directly impact our clients’ satisfaction and our company’s growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Assessment:

   • Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand roofing requirements.
   • Conduct on-site assessments, examining existing roofs, structural integrity, and potential challenges.
   • Evaluate materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project.

2. Estimation:

   • Prepare detailed cost estimates, factoring in labor, materials, permits, and overhead.
   • Utilize industry-standard software in Construct Connect for precise calculations.
   • Present estimates to clients in a clear and professional manner.

3. Bid Preparation:

   • Develop competitive bids that align with project scope and budget.
   • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.
   • Craft compelling bid proposals that showcase our expertise.

4. Technical Expertise:

   • Stay informed about roofing trends, materials, and best practices.
   • Understand local building codes and regulations.
   • Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure compliance.

5. Client Relations:

   • Build strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors.
   • Address client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
   • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in commercial roofing estimation.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Construct Connect, Xactimate, RoofCAD).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of various roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, metal, etc.).
