Duration: 18 months
Pay rare: 60hr - 70hr prof. exempt  ($192 per diem)

The individual is capable of preparing detailed cost estimates through deliverables established by operations
/construction or a client's "Request for Quote", including craft/staff labor, materials, equipment/rentals, indirect
costs, cash flow and long term planning. Maintain selective estimating input to projects (change control) and
interface with certain clients on estimating needs

• (15%) Provide support and guidance for site Estimating personnel.
• (20%) Perform detailed quantity take off's from drawings.
• (20%) Develop craft hour productivity rates with minimal information about specific work tasks, through a
• "crew up process" or by researching past project cost history; to enhance the validity of the estimate.
• (30%) Produces total project (EPC) cost estimates for client to support their allocation of budgets for
• expenses and capital projects. Determines labor hours and dollars for engineering, procurement,
• maintenance, modifications, and construction activities. Develop material & subcontractor pricing.
• (5%) Work with a team of estimators and cost analyst to improve current estimating databases, and to
• develop/enhance tools that will create a dependable estimate.
• (10%) Interface with all disciplines supporting proposals and EPCM estimates.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
2 Ability to work independently, use problem solving judgment and organize and prioritize work assignments.
3 Ability to conduct oneself professionally and with diplomacy and maintain confidentiality where necessary.
4 Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel and Win Estimator or other estimating software (like MC Squared [MC2] & Timberline, etc.)
5 Basic knowledge of estimating resources (e.g. reference material).

Qualifications:
Education: Some college or post secondary education preferred or minimum of five plus years
related experience in a large commercial construction environment.
Length of Experience: Six plus years experience in related estimating assignments
Certifications: Computer proficiency certifications a plus or equivalent education
Additional notes:
Candidates need to have experience doing unit rate estimates (which include materials & installing figures) + crew estimates exp (going off your gut- ex. it'll take this many people this much time to do this job)
Candidates must be able to do walkdowns on the job sites
Candidates need to be team players who are teachable & open to training others too.
