The Planner will work together with the Planner(s) to provide administrative support in order to maintain and execute a manufacturing plan that consists of production planning, scheduling and manufacturing order management

This position will work with the planning team to maintain and execute the production plan to meet customer demands. The person in this role is a key member of the Operations team and is responsible for assuring resources are aligned and planned to meet customer demand.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

• Develop production schedule for assigned products and components in coordination with the Senior Planner
• Schedule orders for purchasing and production
• Collaborate with the planning and production teams to resolve constraints or delays. Adjust the Master Schedule as needed
• Partner with the Purchasing team to ensure availability of required materials and services
• Update Sales and other stakeholders on product and component availability

Lead or participate in continuous improvement and problem solving events to positively impact efficiency, effectiveness and performance

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 or more years of experience supporting manufacturing/production required.

Preferred Requirements:

• BS degree in business administration, operations management, supply chain or related files or a combination of AS degree and relevant experience supporting manufacturing/production, especially in a planning position
• APICS certification
• Continuous improvement/Six Sigma knowledge and experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning systems and Microsoft Office software programs
• Ability to work well in a cross functional team environment
• Strong attention to detail

Physical Demands:

No restrictions on wearing required PPE for area, including safety eyewear and steel toed shoes
