Special Education Teacher

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Lake Providence, LA. The Special Education Teacher will work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with a variety of disabilities and will be committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of academic subjects.
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students with special needs are fully included in the school community.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed to ensure that all students are making meaningful gains.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching license in Special Education from the state.
• Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
