Our company is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for a food distribution company.
Responsibilities:
- Processing outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including, verifying, classifying and recording AP data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify and investigate any discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounts payable or finance, or a related field
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook. Sage experience is a plus
- Experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
