Job Description

Our hotel is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented customer service professional to make our guests' dining experience memorable. As a Union Teller Barista, you will be responsible for greeting guests, taking coffee and food orders, maintaining the dining room, making specialty coffee drinks, restocking and organizing supplies, and interacting with others. You will also be required to obtain a TABC license. This position is fast-paced and interactive!

Compensation:

$14 - $15 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Disinfect and clean service lines, beverage dispensers, and other equipment following health and safety procedures
  • Use appropriate procedures for removing used plates, glasses, and silverware in an efficient manner throughout breakfast service
  • Maintain the breakfast area by cleaning tables, chairs, and buffet counter, and empty trash as needed
  • Provide attentive service to guests in the dining area by taking orders, and serving food and drinks
  • Assist guests with any questions or concerns that they may have in a prompt and friendly manner

As a Barista you’ll :

  • Ensure kitchen sanitation according to health and safety guidelines
  • Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, customized, and specialty beverages
  • Clean service and dining areas throughout shift
  • Servicing customers and taking orders
  • Receiving and distributing stock supplies
  • Greet Guests
  • Keep trash changed in the dining room and behind the register
Qualifications:
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
  • We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
  • Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with guests and other team members
  • Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife-handling skills.
  • Basic food cost knowledge
  • Understanding and knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Must be available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and restaurant employees.
  • Constant standing/walking
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around the kitchen area
