Summary of Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Visitation Supervisor, this person is responsible for supervising and transporting delinquent and/or dependent children and families for visitation appointments. This may also include transporting custodial youth to appointments, court proceedings, and other necessary obligations. Duties are conducted in accordance with all existing policies, procedures, and regulations and in accord with the Mission and Values of the Company.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide direct supervision/documentation of visitation sessions, including possible videotaping of visits

  • Participates in supervised visits

  • Assists in locating/maintaining visitation sites that are safe, family-friendly geographically diverse, and fiscally prudent

  • Schedules visits, transports, and escorts for clients to attend court

  • Conducts drug testing

  • Communicates needs to make referrals outside of the program

  • Prepares visitation notes and reports

  • Prepares case information, correspondences, reports and maintains records

  • Participates in meetings

  • Promotes positive family interaction

  • Completes required trainings.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other social science and two years' direct care experience in public or private human services. Or a high school diploma and five years of direct care experience in public or private human services.

Employment Requirements:

Automobile and Valid Insurance, Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Check, Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, Social Security Card, Immigration and Naturalization (I-9), Drug Screening Clearance

Working Conditions:

Prolonged periods working on a computer in an open office environment, comfortable communicating through virtual technology, and travel throughout the assigned region may occur and may be in adverse weather conditions, must be able to lift to 75 pounds.
