Salary Range: $90k- $100k

The Chief Engineer will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Leading and developing a diverse and effective team that is qualified and capable of leading the engineering functions of the properties;
Maintaining an adequate inventory of parts and supplies;
Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in mechanical and electrical systems and other equipment throughout the hotel;
Managing and collaborating in the development of the engineering and capital budget, which at times involves strategic agility and sound planning capability;
Leading, developing and training the hotel engineering team in accordance with Atrium Core Values;
Creating work schedules, managing and measuring department productivity;
Overseeing preventative maintenance assignments and the execution of Capital projects in partnership with the Atrium Capital team;
Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and all relevant Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards;
Tracking guest room requests for servicing and ensuring completion;
Being the head of the loss prevention and risk management programs. Managing the hotels loss prevention committees and ensuring all life safety systems are code compliant with the brand and the authority having jurisdiction (i.e. Fire Marshall, Building Inspector, etc.); and
Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position
Qualifications:
Required Prior Experience:
7+ years of progressive engineering experience
Working knowledge of facilities regulations and safety standards (i.e. OSHA, EPA, ADA, CFC, NFPA)
Prior responsibility for a department budget with a fundamental understanding of a P&L statement, labor costs and other R&M expenses
Experience in managing utilities and energy systems
Understanding of capital planning and replacement cycles
Preferred Prior Experience:
Experience maintaining with commercial laundry and kitchen equipment.
Prior multi-site responsibility
Prior hotel experience
Required Education:
Prior knowledge of and experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and general building construction
Preferred Licenses/ Certification:
Certifications in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC
Required Technology:
Knowledge of computer equipment, basic telephony and IT background.
Ability to use web-based applications for ordering, scheduling, CMMS systems experience.
