Design Engineer - Temporary/Seasonal

 Job Description: The Design Engineer designs combine sub-systems and components of agricultural machinery.   Design of large farm machinery in CAD environment with primary focus on combine harvesters, corn heads, soybean heads, and small grain heads.Creates and maintains product Bill of Materials (BOM).Prepares new Engineering releases and Engineering Change Requests.Coordinates design activities with outside suppliers.Participate sin regular design reviews.Adheres to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follows and supports compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations and standards. Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.Note:  This position includes up to 20% per year domestic and international travel by auto and air; valid driver’s license & passport is required. Your profile:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering; Ag Biosystems Engineering, or equivalent.Minimum of 3+ years’ previous work related experience equivalent, preferred.Ability to interpret specifications, engineering drawing and understand technical documentation and specification.Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.Familiar with ISO 9001:2008, preferred.Experience with agriculture, agricultural equipment and harvesting practices; experience with design of large agricultural machinery, preferred.Strong project management skills.Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skill set.German language skills, a plus, not required.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high volume workload in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
