Sante Health System is looking to hire a Front Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional customer service at our busy medical office, Women's Specialty Fertility Center (WSFC) located in Fresno, CA. This position is the essential link for our patients and the care provided by our team. We're looking for a kind and friendly individual who is experienced in the medical field and passionate about patient experience as this role will greet, instruct, schedule appointments, and update patient information as needed. The ideal candidate not only strives to meet our clients' needs but also enjoys taking a key role in administrative tasks and operational flow including answering phone calls and transferring to the appropriate departments.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a medical office setting
  • Knowledge of computer and business office procedures
  • Pleasant attitude; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, employees, and public.
  • Women's healthcare experience preferred
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • Knowledge of managed care products such as HMO's and PPO's.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type patient information.
  • Skill in operating a computer and photocopy machine.
  • Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Ability to handle large phone volume and assorted tasks expediently and accurately.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to sort and file materials correctly and in alphabetical or numeric systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Greet patients and callers in a congenial and professional manner; screen and respond to routine requests for information.
  2. Triage phone calls
  3. Check patients in
  4. Check patients out
  5. Verify insurance eligibility
  6. Receives and post payments and co-pays from patients and issues receipts as required
  7. Runs reports as required to balance charges and payments.
  8. Prepares deposit for the day if required.
  9. Attends meetings and in-service as required.
  10. Maintains records in a confidential manner.
  11. Comply with all work rules including those pertaining to safety and health.
  12. Perform related work as required and other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
