Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral goals.
• Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, adapting instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students receive appropriate accommodations and support services in inclusive classroom settings.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress, monitor individualized goals, and adjust instructional methods as needed to support student growth and success.
• Utilize assistive technology, adaptive materials, and specialized instructional techniques to facilitate learning and communication for students with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, attendance, and behavior in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid California teaching credential with Special Education authorization or eligibility for credentialing.
• Experience working with students with disabilities and their families is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
