POSITION SUMMARY

Tropic Fish Key Accounts Manager is responsible for achieving and exceeding Company Sales goals pertaining to Sales growth and profitability, utilizing appropriate selling practices and various methods to introduce and promote both new and existing products/services to current and prospective customers responsibly and professionally. We value our relationships with key accounts and prioritize customer satisfaction. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Accounts Manager to join our team and nurture our key client relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Job Purpose/Objective

The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our key clients. This role involves understanding our clients' business needs, ensuring client satisfaction, growing account revenue, and driving long-term account growth and retention. The Key Accounts Manager acts as the main point of contact between the company and its key accounts.

  1. Essential Job Functions

Incumbent may perform any or all of the following:

Sales Functions

  • Developing a solid and trusting relationship between key accounts and Company
  • Resolving key account issues and complaints
  • Developing a complete understanding of account needs
  • Anticipating account changes and improvements
  • Managing communications between accounts and internal teams
  • Managing account team assigned to each client
  • Strategic planning to improve client results and maintaining KPI goals
  • Negotiating contracts with the client and establishing a timeline of performance
  • Establishing and overseeing internal budgets with the Company and external budgets with the client
  • Work with the design team, sales team, creative, advertising, logistics, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same client account to ensure the highest quality products are delivered and all account needs are achieved.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training
  • Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
  • Analyzing client data to provide customer relationship management
  • Expanding relationships and bringing in new accounts

Key Account Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • In-depth understanding of company key clients and their position in the industry
  • Eager to expand the Company with new sales, clients, and territories
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field
  • Four to five years previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
  • Computer skills and experience with sales software and the Microsoft Office Suite, emphasizing superior Excel skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to follow through on client contracts
  • Ability to multitask and manage more than one client account
  • Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma; College Degree preferred
  • 1 year sales experience in the Seafood industry and/or 2 years experience in Product Sales
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high degree of judgement, especially when working with information that is confidential in nature.
  • Proven selling, communication, time management, organizational, and negotiation skills
  • Competent in computer skills: Microsoft Office Application-Excel, Word and Outlook, etc. Strong technical abilities
  • High level of interpersonal skills; Proven record of establishing positive rapport with various businesses and the community
  • Must have valid Driver's license; current registration and vehicle insurance documents. Clean abstract required
