Job Description
Robert Half is hiring a Material Coordinator for John Deere's production team! You will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that materials are coordinated effectively to support production and meet customer demands. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with warehouse workers and other team members to optimize material flow and resolve any issues that may arise. Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and analyze data will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the procurement, expediting, production, and delivery of materials across multiple departments to ensure timely availability.
Work closely with warehouse workers, providing direction as needed to facilitate efficient material handling and storage.
Utilize problem-solving skills and analytical tools such as PowerBi, Sharepoint, and Power Apps to identify and address issues related to material flow, inventory accuracy, and production schedules.
Demonstrate computer savvy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, to track, analyze, and report on material-related data.
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement process improvements to enhance material coordination and inventory management.
Support production planning by creating and distributing daily production schedules based on the Master Schedule.
Assist with the processing of transactions for inbound and outbound materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
Utilize SAP or similar ERP systems to manage inventory, track material movements, and support production operations effectively.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in materials coordination, inventory management, or similar roles within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with warehouse workers and provide direction as needed.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with analytical tools such as PowerBi, Sharepoint, and Power Apps.
Computer savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and systems.
Experience with SAP is preferred.
