FUNCTIONS:

Assists in the review of timecards for accurate payroll processing on a biweekly basis and serves as a resource for payroll processors to ensure their compliance with benefits and HR policies.
Process requests for paycheck adjustments.
Assists managers with timecard questions and keeps them advised of potential issues, recommending, and implementing solutions as appropriate.
Periodically audits I-9 files and new employees files.
Acts as the company liaison for temporary contractor/non-employee assignments.
Creates temporary contractor/non-employee accounts within the HRIS system.
Responds to all unemployment claims.
Responds to all verbal and written requests for employment verification.
Tracks all employees, certifications, degrees, and training and inserts into HRIS system.
Prepares initial government reports for Human Resources Manager review related to EEO, other HR functions and assists with developing reports and responses for annual 401(k) and Workers Compensation Audit.
Responsible for a working knowledge of all Human Resources tasks and responsibilities with the ability to take on new responsibilities and assist others when needed.
Provides general HR administrative support and assists in special projects and initiatives as directed.
Work with HR Manager to effectively address employee and labor relations issues with urgency and empathy.
Prepares presentations HR and or payroll reports (Overtime, time registration adjustment, hours worked, personnel transactions, retirement plan and others) biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports when required.
Prepares OSHA reports for federal & local agencies as needed.
Assures HRIS data including demographic data in the HR/Payroll system, of all documents of personnel/medical files is up to date and in compliance, administering record retention.
Data entry of all personnel adjustments, personal, employment, benefits data, rate changes, title changes, promotions, transfer, new hires, and terminations when applicable.
Assist with new hires process, assuring that all required documents are completed, withing its regulatory due date, supports onboarding as needed.
Responsible for HRIS training to new employees on onboarding
Responsible and ensuring compliance of all documents of personnel/medical files and administering record retention and annual purging of personnel files.
Completes employees’ forms requests such as welfare and financial benefits.
Assist with the administration of various employee committees such as recognition, wellness, and other company activities.
Assures termination package (checklist, final payments, COBRA paperwork) are completed on a promptly manner.
