We supply college educated remote nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, technicians, phlebotomists, medical assistants, transcriptionists, medical billers, and marketers from around the world. Our clients are clinics, health plans, and pharmacies, that don’t have the expertise, time, or budget to afford onsite staff. About the Job

The role of the Medical Assistant in EHR Implementation and Revenue Cycle Management is critical in improving our healthcare services by maximizing the utilization of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and refining our revenue cycle procedures. This position requires close collaboration with health IT, clinical, and administrative teams to aid in EHR system integration, training, and workflow enhancement. Additionally, it involves actively participating in efficient revenue cycle management to enhance reimbursement and mitigate financial risks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

EHR Implementation and Assistance:

  • Aid in deploying EHR systems, encompassing tasks like data migration, system customization, and configuring user profiles.

  • Deliver training and assistance to clinical staff regarding EHR functionalities, documentation methods, and seamless workflow integration.

  • Address EHR system glitches by troubleshooting issues, coordinating with IT support, and engaging with vendors as required.

  • Contribute to establishing and updating EHR documentation standards and adhering to best practices.

Revenue Cycle Management:

  • Support billing and coding procedures to guarantee precise and prompt charge capture.

  • Assist in overseeing patient accounts, including verifying insurance details, handling billing inquiries, and processing payments.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to analyze billing data, detect patterns, and propose strategies for enhancing revenue cycle efficiency.

  • Participate in audits and compliance tasks to ensure conformity with health insurance regulations and policies.

Clinical Assistance:

  • Execute routine administrative and clinical responsibilities to aid patient care, such as appointment scheduling, maintaining medical records, and preparing examination rooms.

  • Uphold compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and safety protocols throughout all activities.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.

  • Experience with EHR systems and an understanding of health information technology.

  • Knowledge of medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management processes.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support staff.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with specific EHR software (e.g., Epic, Cerner) highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid billing.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and basic financial reporting.
