We have a great career opportunity for a Dispatch/Driver Manager in our Fair Oaks, IN facility.


Purpose:

The Dispatch/Driver Manager is a key operations function that oversees the daily planning, assignment and management of customer loads. The Load Planner ensures that our mission is carried out for customers and our drivers, trucks and tank trailers are fully utilized to maximize productivity of company assets.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities of operations to obtain optimal use of personnel and equipment for 50-100 trucks and drivers.
  • Ensure timely flow of information between company and drivers with specific pre-plans and dispatches for deliveries.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, keeping customers informed at all times and ensuring loads are delivered on time.
  • Ensure that loads are planned and assigned in full compliance with FMCSA’s Hours of Service Rules.
  • Meet or exceed weekly company expectations for utilization and productivity of driver, trucks and tank trailers.


Abilities and skills required:

You are a LEADER. You must have the ability to motivate and drive results. Requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The ability to adapt, learn, and think on your feet are essential. AS400 Innovative knowledge preferred and basic Microsoft Office skills needed. Must be capable of understanding human nature and how to motivate people to accomplish a given mission. Customer service skills are paramount. You should be capable of communicating quickly and effectively (spoken and written language). Computer skills are essential to daily tasks. Multi-tasking and organizational skills are required to perform this job. Great attention to detail and being a team player are imperative to this position. Qualified candidate must be well-versed in truck operations, including but not limited to, planning, dispatch, routing, scheduling, providing excellent & timely customer service, tracking, and negotiating rates. Minimum of three years recent trucking operations management experience required.
