Maintenance Tech I & II - Thousand Hills Resort Hotel

Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on the property to ensure a high standard of appearance and functionality. Address minor repairs and alterations to furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed. Collaborate with the maintenance team to uphold the quality standards of Thousand Hills Resort Hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES include (but may not be limited to) the following:

• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Assist in addressing electrical issues, including replacing fixtures, switches, and exposed wiring.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to support repairs, installations, and alterations throughout the property.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and building systems.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and functionality of HVAC systems, switches, electric motors, fans, and heaters, pool and spa.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and repairing as necessary. Apply finishes to various surfaces, ensuring a polished and well-maintained appearance.
• Monitor and regulate pool chemical levels to comply with health and safety standards.
• Address pool-related issues promptly, such as repairing leaks and ensuring proper functioning of pool equipment.
• Ensures that all assigned tasks and reports are completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks through HotSos
• Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests for maintenance assistance.
• Contribute to the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including landscaping, snow removal, and general grounds maintenance.
• Perform regular checks to ensure a safe and welcoming exterior environment.
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and fellow team members, addressing any/all concerns with urgency and courtesy.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
• Experience in pool maintenance and knowledge of pool chemicals and equipment.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• CPO Certified or willingness to become certified within first 6 months of employment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new maintenance techniques and technologies.
• Experience with HotSos is a plus.
