Bartender

Maumee Bay Lodge, a premier hotel and restaurant located in Oregon, Ohio, is seeking experienced and customer service-oriented Bartenders to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing guests with an exceptional bar experience by creating and serving a variety of beverages while maintaining a professional, friendly, and efficient atmosphere.

Bartenders may work in the Icebreaker lounge ($9.25/hour plus tips) or Banquet events ($10.45/hour plus tips). Bartenders in the Icebreaker lounge are also responsible for serving tables in the lounge & mixing/pouring drinks for the Dining Room.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, ensuring exceptional service at all times
• Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guest requests and in compliance with company standards
• Take orders and process payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are stocked and in good working condition at all times
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Check guests’ identification to verify they are of legal drinking age
• Monitor and adhere to all local, state, and federal alcohol laws
• Upsell and promote special drinks or events to increase revenue
• Handle guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Attend all mandatory training sessions and staff meetings
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience
• Strong knowledge of various types of alcoholic beverages and their proper preparation
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must have a valid Alcohol Service certification (if not, required to attend company training)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
