Salary:

We are looking for a dedicated professional like you to be a part of our Laboratory team as a Part Time MT/MLT.


This position is Part Time, Monday-Thursday from 3:00pm- 8:30PM


Our Laboratory Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. A few responsibilities of our MT/MLT include: 

* Adequate and satisfactory specimen collection
* DOT/NON-DOT urine collection
* CLIA waived testing
* Patient identification
* Able to interpret provider orders/diagnosis
* Responsible for courier duties between facilities
* Consistently deliver excellent patient experiences, maintaining a positive demeanor toward patients and the public; proactively addresses situations of concern to others
* Complies with all state and federal laws and regulations including HIPAA and with HCHD policies/procedures
* Identifies problems or improvements within own area of work; develops resourceful and alterative solutions for work improvement or problem solving
* Documents all activities as completely as necessary and required
* Completes other duties as assigned
* Blood bank
 

Education/Licensure/Certifications: 

  •  High school graduate or equivalent
  •  MT / MLT / CLS certification (current credentials)/training (ASCP--AMT CERTIFICATION ALSO IS ACCEPTABLE)
  •  Current/active State-issued driver license and clear motor vehicle report
  •  Effective communication skills (bilingual English-Spanish preferred)
  •  Proficient use of PC and Microsoft Office Suite software
  •  Prior work experience using electronic health/medical record-keeping system (EHR/EMR)
  •  Excellent customer service skills, and outstanding ability to function on department employee team (cooperation, initiative, adaptable)
  •  Completes all other duties assigned
  •  Physical requirements: ability to sit, stand, and bend; able to lift and/or shift weights up to 50 pounds; ability to communicate Healthcare-related information effectively and professionally.
