POSITION SUMMARY: CherCo is seeking motivated full time Leadman Shop Mechanic in Pampa/Canadian, Texas. As a Lead Shop Mechanic, you will lead the Canadian shop and ensure that all service work is completed in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. As the lead, you will also work on Compression equipment as needed and serve as the primary contact when repair challenges arise. You will be working in a shop that has all the equipment and resources you need to perform top-notch work, and knowing that customers can count on you and your crew to get the job done right.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: may include any or all of the following.
- Manages the maintenance, repair and safe operation.
- Oversees the overall upkeep of the Canadian building and property.
- The lead mechanic works closely with the Area Manager, other department heads, technicians, regional managers, and all maintenance employees.
- Tracks equipment for service and preventive maintenance
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (COMPETENCY STATEMENTS):
- Proven knowledge of machines and tools, materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of compression units.
- Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proven ability to write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
- Proven ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Proven ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction; take responsibility for own actions; keep commitments; complete tasks on time or notify appropriate person with an alternate plan.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Proven ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
Computer skills:
- Adequate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
Certifications & Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License.
