The Manufacturing Manager plans, organizes, and directs the manufacturing function within a facility to ensure that products are produced with the highest level of quality at the lowest cost and delivered to the customer on time.

What a Day Looks Like:

• Provide direction to the manufacturing organization through the review of work priorities and production schedules to meet daily, weekly, monthly customer sales order requirements.
• Monitor employee job performance such as quality, productivity and attendance.
• Prepare the master labor schedule from the customer/work orders and customer forecasts.
• Work with Production Supervisors, Line Leads, Customer Service, Materials, Quality, Human Resources and others as required to determine production capabilities and constraints. Prepare plan to overcome any identified constraints.
• Establish routing and labor parameters for each production operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead-times. Maintain routing and labor parameter information in the ERP system.
• Ensure all manufacturing employees are properly trained and cross-trained as required.
• Prepare reports and make presentations as required.
• Hold and attend meetings as required.
• Encourage and nurture a culture of continuous improvement activities such Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Develop, implement, and monitor written polices, processes, and procedures to maximize the effectiveness of the manufacturing operation.
• Interface with all support functions to ensure that products are produced with the highest level of quality at the lowest cost and delivered to the customer on time.
• Ensure that employee relations issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Follow all policies and procedures in a legal and ethical manner.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Must be ITAR Compliant. All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• This position reports to work onsite - this is not a remote or hybrid position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or related field (equivalent work experience may be a substitute).
• 4-6 years previous experience in a related position and industry.
• Experience in assembly, contract high mix/low volume type manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a dynamic team of individuals.
• 3-5 years experience managing others.
• Working knowledge of six sigma, lean, and kaizen activities, as well as ISO standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Experience working in an ITAR regulated manufacturing facility is a plus.
