School Counselor - Montana

Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Counselor to join our educational team in Montana. As a school counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, personal, social, and career-related concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions and support plans.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students at risk and develop strategies for intervention and prevention.
• Assist students in setting academic and career goals and provide guidance on course selection, college admissions, and career exploration.
• Facilitate classroom presentations and workshops on topics such as bullying prevention, study skills, conflict resolution, and mental health awareness.
• Serve as a liaison between students, families, school staff, and munity resources to coordinate support services and referrals as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, assessments, and student progress.
• Stay informed about best practices in school counseling and participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current Montana state certification or eligibility for certification as a School Counselor.
• Experience working with pprotected populations
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and child development theories.
• Excellent munication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
