Automotive Service Dispatcher

Job Summary:

The Automotive Service Dispatcher at Jim Falk Automotive Group in Kahului, Hawaii is a full-time, hourly position in the automotive industry. This is a management role, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the service department operations. The Service Dispatcher will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure efficient and effective customer service, manage daily workflow, and ensure smooth and timely communication between customers and technicians.

Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20 per hour plus monthly productivity bonus, paid biweekly. Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and dispatch work to service technicians based on availability, skills, and workload
- Communicate with customers to gather necessary information and schedule service appointments
- Ensure technicians have necessary parts and tools to complete the job
- Monitor and update status of service orders using computer systems
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of service orders, repairs, and customer interactions
- Monitor and manage technician productivity and performance
- Assist in developing and implementing training programs for service technicians
- Maintain a clean and organized service department
- Adhere to all company and industry safety and quality standards

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the automotive industry and/or dispatching preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with service management software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance processes
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
