Job Summary:

STS Group Inc. is experiencing massive success in the physical and electronic security industry, along with branch automation. We are actively searching for Installation Technicians to add to our fleet of professionals. This position requires the knowledge to install an alarm, CCTV, and access control efficiently. This position also requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. For STS to maintain our flawless status of elite service, we will only aim for the best. STS will provide a company vehicle, fuel card, company apparel, company cell phone, laptop, and tools needed while employed with us.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Travel to local service calls to expertly and neatly repair, install, or upgrade physical and electronic security equipment.
  • Configure software and hardware components when necessary.
  • Maintain and record accurate arrival and departure times required at each in-field service call performed.
  • Document all repair, diagnostic, and installation information performed on the job site.
  • Perform routine maintenance on customer equipment.
  • Educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of replacement parts and equipment issued to you.
  • Follow all company processes and procedures.
  • Maintain and protect company vehicles, tools, and electronic devices provided to you.

Physical Demands:

  • Requires the ability to drive, walk, reach, talk, hear, climb, stand, stoop, bend, and kneel.
  • You must be able to climb a ladder.
  • Can lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to moving parts and electricity.
  • Local travel is required for this position, with an occasional trip to our main office.

  • Dependability- must be on time for all appointments. Do not call out at the last minute. Follow and respond to instructions and directions from management.
  • Initiative- take independent action to assess equipment issues reported by customers while on-site and attend to an entirely different issue than the one reported.
  • Innovation- displays original thinking and creativity by meeting challenges with resourcefulness and offering suggestions for improving workflow.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must pass a driving record and background check.
  • Mechanical and technical skills are required.
  • Requires attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and good hygiene.
  • Intermediate computer skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to read or learn to read diagnostic tools.
  • Working knowledge of CCTV, Alarm, and pneumatic drive-thru systems is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the HVAC and electronics field is a plus.
