• $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
• Full Time & Part-time hours available

Our Horticulture and Gardening Specialist is a very unique position and plays an incredibly important role here at Indian Hot Springs!  They have a wealth of knowledge in all living plants and take pride and care in their work and the environment they maintain and create.  You lend a hand in creating an experience that is unique, relaxing and comforting for all our guests each and every day!

Job Duties:

• Using hand tools including brooms, shovels, rakes and any others that are required to complete the task at hand.
• Maintain, plant, water and weed all plantings, trees and flower beds inside the greenhouse pool area.
• Planting annual and perennial flowers, fall bulbs, fertilize, water, dead-head and perform other duties for maintaining all flower beds, plants and trees.
• Watering all flower pots and boxes.
• Weeding both annual and perennial flower beds.
• Operating and maintaining utility vehicles and cultivation equipment by following standards and safety guidelines such as hedge trimmers, hand and backpack blowers, sprayers, etc.
• Trimming and pruning hedges, shrubbery and new plantings.
• Designing and planting a variety of perennial gardens and annual arrangements (including container gardens) across the property.
• Work together with the rest of staff and team members to complete goals and objectives.
• Prune trees and shrubs utilizing proper techniques and principles.
• Keep all work areas clean and tidy.
• Speaking to customers and providing knowledge of greenhouse plants when asked
• Identifying plants, trees, shrubs, flowers and more.
• Prepare, amend or condition soils for different types of plants or plant communities.
• Mixing, preparing and using chemicals safely to accomplish tasks at hand.
• Plant, tree, shrub and flower restoration and conditioning.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License or ID
• Ability to work with computers and communicate via email, text and phone.
• Must be Dependable, Friendly, Responsible, and a Great Team Player.
• Excellent communication
• Ability to problem solve and work in a fast paced environment.
• Interface positively with other departments and helping when needed.
• Displays care in use of equipment and maintains an organized and professional work environment.
• Experience, knowledge and skills with landscape, horticulture, gardening, cultivating and plant management
• Uphold the standards of Indian Hot Springs and curating better experiences for customers through plants and wellness
• Must be able to lift 50lbs or greater.
• Proficiency in caring for plants native and non-native
