About Swine & Sons

Swine & Sons is a casual counter-service restaurant serving Southern-inspired smashburgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, and smoked pork, as well as homemade sides, snacks, and desserts. Chef/owners Rhys and Alexia Gawlak opened the first Swine & Sons location in Winter Park in 2015 and a second location inside Tuffy’s Bottle Shop & Lounge in Sanford in 2021. The award-winning chef/owners are CIA-graduates who bring over 25 years each of casual and upscale dining experience to the brand. Their food has been featured in Edible Orlando, Orlando Magazine, the Orlando Sentinel, and the Orlando Weekly, and the chefs have been featured on the Food Network as champions on Guy’s Grocery Games.

Compensation & Benefits

Cashiers are offered a base hourly rate of $10 - $13, and all hourly positions (FOH and BOH) are tipped.

Health, vision, and dental insurance is available to all full-time team members after 90 days of employment.

Swine & Sons Cashiers Must Have:

  • A friendly, approachable demeanor and genuine love of hospitality
  • Ability to multitask and keep calm and organized during high volume service periods
  • Reliable transportation
  • Open availability – nights, weekends, and some holidays are required
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation: ServeSafe certification or willingness to complete class to become certified
  • Basic knowledge of common food allergens
  • Basic math skills needed for processing cash transactions and making change
  • Basic computer skills

At S&S, Our Cashiers Are Expected To:

  • Proactively greet and interact with guests
  • Answer questions, take orders, accurately enter orders into point of sale, and communicate with the kitchen as necessary
  • Learn our menu
  • Bus tables & maintain the dining area
  • Keep work and dining areas clean and sanitized
  • Pack to-go orders
  • Stock & maintain utensils, condiments, and paper goods for guest and staff use
  • Execute station setup (opening shift) and breakdown (closing shift) without assistance
  • Wash dishes as needed
  • Follow recipes & execute basic food preparation tasks
  • Help to prepare catering orders according to company specifications
