Requiring applicants with Microsoft Office proficiency, Robert Half seeks a Payroll Administrator for payroll processing to fill a role with a company in the Manufacturing field. How you will make an impact
- Offer assistance with internal and external audits related to payroll
- Establish payroll liabilities after calculating all employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments
- Retrieve and assess information in order to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Answer questions and requests related to payroll information
- Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling
- Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation
- Payroll record maintenance by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
- Continue implementation of established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations, reporting changes where necessary
- Collect, calculate, and enter relevant data to maintain payroll records
- Promote employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and keeping information confidential
- Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, ensure company compliance
- Handle specific weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for department heads
- Manage and review, including verify, source documents
- Manage other tasks as assigned- Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria
- 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll
- Prior experience working with collections/accounting software
- Mastery of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
- Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- Knowledgeable about internal controls
- Capable of managing high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
- Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience
- Adeptness in payroll
- Command of bi-Monthly Payroll
- Proficiency in Full Cycle Payroll
- ADP - Payroll experience desired
- Demonstrated knowledge of Payroll Functions
- Experience with payroll for over 500 employees
- Proficient knowledge of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
