Medical Receptionist

PrideStaff is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist on behalf of our client in Hattiesburg, MS. This is a full time, temp-to-hire position ideal for a candidate seeking a position with room for growth. In this role, the Medical Receptionist serves as the main point of contact for all visitors and guests in addition to performing the following tasks:

Job Requirements:

• Greets patients as they arrive at the facility.
• Assists patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation.
• Updates patients' information within the EMR database.
• Answers telephone and handles patient inquiries.
• Calls patients and reminds them of their appointments.
• Schedules and reschedules patients' appointments.
• Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance with policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

• Great customer service and phone etiquette.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in customer service (preferred).
• At least 1 year experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• Willing to complete a background check and drug screen.
