***MUST WORK ON-SITE/NON-REMOTE POSITION****

 

We are seeking an Event Coordinator to join our team! This position will be part-time with prospect to full-time. You will be responsible for organizing important events from conception through completion.

Position Reports to: General Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Knowledgeable in The Canopy’s private dining room, patio, and full restaurant buyout set up and capabilities.
  • Assist to re-solicit past accounts and generate new business from existing business.
  • Ability to manage Toast reservation system and maximize seating potential at all times.
  • Responsible for chef inspired menus for client's special events.
  • Meet and greet in-house guests upon arrival, review the course of events and introduce other staff members (restaurant managers and servers).
  • Responsible for setting up event with restaurant team as specified by clients.
  • Develop agendas and complete all pertinent correspondence with culinary team for event execution success.
  • Maintain current hotel information and be able to provide hotel amenities information to all guests inquiring.
  • Responsible for collecting deposit and credit card authorizations to finalize events.
  • Maintain pricing integrity and propose personalized menus for all events.
  • Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
  • Responsible for service excellence of event from inquiry to finale.
  • Other tasks or duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to deliver an exemplary service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience.
  • Must present an image of excitement and enthusiasm, while being able to project a professional appearance and demeanor. Inclusive of professional email and phone etiquette.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • At least 3 years of previous food and beverage experience and/or as a coordinator or event service team member.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
