LHH is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Caseworker for a direct hire position in Charlotte, NC! The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in the human services field and a strong desire to help others.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, employing expert assessment skills to gather information and determine eligibility for financial assistance.

  • Apply motivational interviewing techniques and employ problem-solving skills to coach customers facing crises.

  • Assess financial emergencies with customers, collaboratively developing case plans to propose solutions for immediate crisis resolution and create future-oriented plans.

  • Advocate for customers with vendors and landlords to facilitate positive outcomes.

  • Implement proper documentation procedures, ensuring timely updates to customer information, completion of applications, and documentation of interviews.

  • Evaluate customers' need for additional agency or community support services and make appropriate referrals.

  • Facilitate the smooth flow of processes across departments, including Customer Service intake and initial application entry.

  • Foster effective communication with external community organizations to ensure timely resolution of customer referrals.

  • Provide support to external community organizations with trained staff for online aid requests on behalf of their agency customers.

  • Adhere to special parameters, training, and technical support required for this service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in the human services field and case management.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to social justice.

  • Knowledge of community resources and social services.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

  • Understanding of confidentiality and ethical considerations in social work.



Pay Details: $52,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
