Established in 2023, New Carrot Company, operating under the name Bolthouse Fresh Foods, is headquartered in the California Central Valley community of Bakersfield. Specializing in carrot production, the company caters to both retail and food service operations and is renowned for its Bolthouse Farms brand, widely distributed in major retailers across the United States and Canada.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The “Tally Clerk” creates inventory systematically as it’s physically produced. Audits inventory to ensure physical and system attributes match and are correct and that all new inventory meets criteria for acceptance into the warehouse. Coordinates with production on correcting issues with new production and on handling of rework product.

  • Process new production to ensure physical inventory is reflected accurately systematically, and that inventory meets criteria for acceptance into the warehouse
  • Document audits of new production
  • Ensure proper box labels are provided to work areas.
  • Communicate with Bagger operators/ production workers when changes need to be made to Film/ Packaging.
  • Coordinate with Production on correcting issues with new production, and the timely physical and systematic handling of rework product
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues preventing the systematic processing of new production
  • Reconcile production pack out against item demand to identify shorts or overages
  • Ensure inventory in the physical deposit location for new production matches what’s showing systematically
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Ability to read and interpret safety, operating, and maintenance documents
  • Ability to accurately write routine reports and simple correspondence
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work as a team and follow instructions
  • Confident learning and using the equipment and tools used to perform the job
  • Possess basic mathematical skills (such as adding and subtracting)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred: Access, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Word

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED; six to nine months of related warehouse experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
  • Previous experience in food production/manufacturing facility
  • Prior working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with JD Edwards, Encompass and Red Prairie WMS a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Warehouse/cold storage/shipping dock

  • Exposure to cold (34 degrees)

  • Occasional exposure to sub-zero temperatures

  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time during work period

  • During the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognize that certain “non-essential worker” personnel may at times store consumer-facing materials (including, but not limited to, EADs, coupons, promotional materials, etc.) offsite from Company locations, such as at associates’ homes or in vehicles. All such consumer-facing materials must be maintained in a smoke-free and secure workplace environment.

  • Capable of lifting objects up to 50 pounds to a specific location.

  • Must be able to navigate up and down stairs.

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

  • 1st shift (6AM to 5:30 PM) Monday through Sunday; rotating weekends off, when business requires overtime and weekends will be mandatory
