INTRODUCTION TO ROLE

Recreative and event team members coordinate and provide activities for RV Resort guests by Company policies and safety regulations.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities such as arts, crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies.
  • Be creative and suggest new ideas and games for wacky water and other fun activities.
  • Ascertain and interpret group interests, evaluate equipment and facilities, and adapt activities to meet participant needs.
  • Greet new arrivals to activities, introduce them to other participants, explaining facility rules, and encourage participation.
  • Follow the daily procedure for opening and closing the activities center, including the pool area, locking the right doors, and cleaning up.
  • Set up activities before the activity starts time. Clean up activities immediately upon conclusion. Maintain crafts and games neat and in working order; keep activities area orderly and clean.
  • Keep inventory of guest participation, equipment, and guest interactions daily. Responsible for sign-out procedures of games and equipment. Keep stock, submit order requests, and inform the manager when supplies are low.
  • Conduct and actively participate in water games (in the pool), such as water volleyball and other pool activities.
  • Responsible for enforcing safety rules and procedures with guests. Ensure guests' safety during activities.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures, including collecting monies, room/site charging, logging the money into the computer program, obtaining and distributing a receipt with the guest's signature, writing information on the daily room charge ledger, and handing the log to the Front Desk and dropping cash at the close of shift. Performs other duties as assigned
  • Reliable attendance is required!
WHAT YOU BRING
  • High School Diploma or pursuit of a high school diploma, GED Equivalent
  • Must be able to swim independently
  • First Aid or CPR certifications are preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to:

  • Stand; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The team member frequently is required to walk, occasionally hike, or engage in other outdoor activities with guests.
  • The associate will also be involved in some pool activities, where he or she would need to know how to swim and balance themselves in the pool.
  • The associate will regularly lift boxes of supplies weighing up to 50 pounds between locations and occasionally lift/move up or over 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust and focus.

The hospitality environment is fast-paced, and at times you may be required to cover or assist with tasks/job functions outside of the job you were hired for. We require each of our team members to have an All-Hands-On-Deck mindset. This means you may be tasked with other functions and are expected to complete those tasks with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication as expected with your normal job duties.
