Tour Coordinator - Part time

Part time, 80 hours per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Staff the front desk; greet and direct visitors appropriately

- Provide information and answers to visitor inquiries; face to face and over the phone

- Maintain accurate visitor attendance logs on a daily basis

- Ensure continuous operation of exhibits

- Operate auditorium A/V equipment for various needs

- Assist staff with material and program preparation

- Assist with the setup for public programs and events

- Staff events and launch viewings

- Maintain up-to-date information related to NASA, WFF, GSFC and local area information

- Stock and replenish printed materials throughout Visitor Center

- Conduct visitor tours

- Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

- Excellent customer service skills

- Ability to work independently and as a team

- Proficiency with operating computers, DVD players and other electronic equipment, and ability to troubleshoot

- Reliability and punctuality

Other Requirements:

- Must be able to work weekends (including Saturdays and Sunday in July and August) and some evenings and nights

- Must be able to pass a government background check
