Ponte Vineyard Inn is a Four Diamond, 90 room boutique hotel located next to Ponte Winery and is surrounded by 300 acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. Summary:

The Hotel Maintenance Tech III will maintain the facility and ensures that the property is presented with quality and safety standards that exceed the guest’s expectations.

Compensation: $24.00-$25.00 hourly DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs in public areas and kitchens including minor electrical, roofing, plumbing, HVAC etc.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanics and workings of equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment including kitchen, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Understands and adheres to county ordinance and building codes.
  • Report major repair needs to Facility Manager and Rooms Manager.
  • Monitor and maintain all maintenance spaces in a safe, clean, organized, and energy efficient manner.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and schematics.
  • Handle and store hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor compliance of building safety codes, health and safety laws and other regulations; conduct walk-throughs to assess the safety and efficiency of equipment and maintenance of the property.
  • Effectively collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless transition of out-of-service rooms and equipment.
  • Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner and work order details are noted using the web-based maintenance system.
  • Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the Inn.
  • Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
  • Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to guest and associate requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Understands and adheres to the Ponte values and service standards.
  • Perform any additional duties as requested by Leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have a minimum of (5) years of relevant maintenance experience. Hotel maintenance experience a plus.
  • Must have mechanical ability with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, machine servicing and repairs.
  • Must be pro-active and persistent in pursuing and completing tasks thoroughly.
  • Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Ability to find the best solution in unclear situations or problems.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Energetic and takes initiative. Proactive and persistent in pursuing and completing tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize work in order of importance.
  • Must be able to lift heavy items.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
