Cafe Assistant

About the Position  

Do you love to bake? Are you looking for a fun, casual, and low-stress work environment? Glen Ellyn Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, service-orientated individual to help lead The Cafe.  The Cafe Assistant supports daily operations and provides high-quality customer service. 

Other responsibilities will include:  

• Producing quality baked goods, soups, and salads  
• Greeting members on arrival
• Preparing and serving food and beverage orders
• Operating the cash register and POS system
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the establishment
• Managing the cafe in the absence of the Cafe Manager

Qualifications and Experience  

1. Successful completion of high school
2. Two years successful work experience in the hospitality industry
