AWARE is looking for the right person to join the Early Childhood Services team as a Curriculum and Professional Development Specialist.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures consistency and equity of instruction across the district.
  • Offers reports and updates to assigned supervisors.
  • Provides leadership, collaboration and coordination for curriculum implementation and partnership communications.
  • Plan and provide educational information and staff development opportunities to meet the needs of staff, family child care providers, families, and children served.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Requires at least two (2) years of employment experience working in curriculum development and/or employment and training programs with a demonstrated knowledge of program planning, early childhood assessment and family systems.
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills and an ability to form professional relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Requires computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate, record, and overall basic computer skills needed for performance-based software as well as an electronic medical records system.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a BS/BA Degree in Early Curriculum Development, Education or a related field, in addition to direct employment related experience.
