Position: Manual Machinist

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $22.00 /hourly

Location: Ceres, CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00am - 2:30pm

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Manuel Machinist, who under general supervision, will set up and operate standard milling machines, lathes and other machine tools as directed through knowledge of tooling, fixturing and common shop practices. Machinist specialized in one specific machine, such as a lathe or mill, should have exemplary skills above and beyond the machine shop standard.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
  • Perform precision measurements using various tools and equipment
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper tolerances are met
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines or parts
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/equivalent
  • Trade/Technical School desirable.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in relative field.
  • Basic reading, writing and some advanced arithmetic skills required.
  • Understanding of the tools, materials, methods and standard practices of the trade.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Use sound, independent judgment within policy and procedural guidelines.
  • Ability to organize own work and meet critical deadlines.
