Job Summary: As a Buyer you will join a team that works diligently on the logistics of the Company. You will help keep production and all facets on track with the proper supplies and resources. Utilizing strong organization and communication skills, this position works closely with all departments for timely, accurate, and cost effective purchasing across our entire supply chain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing assurance of timely delivery, quantity, and cost of parts to effectively support all aspects of production.
  • Evaluation of opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining high quality standards and inventory requirements.
  • Ability to initiate effective and efficient new product transitions in order to minimize obsolete inventory, and maintain production processes without interruption.
  • Maintenance of appropriate inventory levels.
  • Support of corporate cost savings through regular and ongoing negotiations.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and expedite when needed.
  • Resolve issues regarding delivery and receiving.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, with demonstrated analytical skills and accuracy.
  • Ability to deliver results quickly within a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional demeanor and interactions with co-workers, vendors and customers.
  • Experience in ERP systems is a plus.
  • High school diploma and relevant work experience is preferred.
