Job Title: Buyer / Forecast Planner

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Essex, VT

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer / Forecast Planner to join our team in the industrial manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of materials and services, as well as developing and maintaining accurate forecasts to meet production demand.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze stock flow and inventory to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained for production

- Develop and maintain accurate forecasts to meet production demand

- Procure materials and services in a timely and cost-effective manner

- Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

- Monitor supplier performance to ensure they meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements

- Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement

- Work with production leads and management when inventory availability commitments are at risk.

- Resolve cost issues with suppliers and accounts payable.

- Maintains ERP system in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or forecasting, OR Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field

- Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Ability to deliver results within a fast-paced environment

- Professional demeanor and interactions with co-workers, vendors, and customers.

- Commitment to the maintenance of a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software

- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and materials preferred
