Position Overview:

As our Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll be the go-to pro for diagnosing and treating communication and speech issues in our awesome, diverse group of clients. You'll work closely with students, families, and other pros to create custom treatment plans that help people reach their communication and academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Evaluation: Do thorough assessments to figure out what's going on with speech and language. Then, create personalized treatment plans based on your findings.

  2. Treatment and Intervention: Use evidence-backed techniques to provide speech and language therapy to clients of all ages. Help improve speech clarity, language understanding, fluency, and social communication skills.

  3. Progress Tracking: Keep tabs on how your clients are doing and tweak their treatment plans as needed. Take good notes about therapy sessions and client progress.

  4. Teamwork: Team up with other pros like teachers, occupational therapists, and parents to make sure everyone's on the same page and supporting our clients the best we can.

  5. Educating Families: Teach families and caregivers strategies they can use at home to support speech and language development. Share tips and resources to help people practice skills outside of therapy.

  6. Staying Sharp: Keep up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology. Take part in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • A license to work as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or be in yourClinical Fellowship Year.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Great communication and people skills.
  • Ability to work solo and as part of a team.
