Description:
We are looking for someone to join the External Engagements & Risk Governance within the client company's information security department.
Focus will be Issues management - supporting the information security team in the opening of SIAIs, remediating of RIAIs and AIAIs, supporting some regulatory engagements, pulling together materials for regulatory responses, may also need them to help with risk governance forum and need help with the logistics there.
Issues comes through their system of record for issues called SEMA where you upload various templates but also its email.
Working with information and technology level but also involved with Audit, need someone who is going to be feel more comfortable via email or phone call or IM to ask questions and track down evidence, won't be abrupt or combative with their partners even when you want to be, need these soft skills.
This group is only focused on cyber risk for the bank, it is multi-faceted, all of the risk activities that the bank has to do they have to do, risk and control assessment, GLBA reporting, risk IDs, the effectiveness of cyber controls.
Day to day:
- In this Issues Intake individual contributor role, the candidate will be responsible for identifying and documenting risks and/or mitigation plans related to Audit, Compliance, Ops Risk, Regulatory and/or infosec identified risks, issues, control enhancements and MRAs within defined SLAs.
- This includes leading and facilitating meetings to debate and understand risks, and drafting clear and articulate issue summaries and mitigation plans to be reviewed by senior and executive management.
- The candidate will be expected to manage a portfolio of risks and issues and understand holistic risks across their assigned area and be able to make determinations on how they may affect other divisions and infosec as a whole.
- The candidate will also be responsible for escalating potential roadblocks that may delay on-time completion.
