Hybrid Position - 3 days on site, 2 days remote

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchaser to join our team. As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies. This position requires strong negotiation skills, knowledge of supply chain management, and the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's needs
- Source, negotiate, and procure materials, supplies, and services from vendors and suppliers
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key vendors
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand their purchasing requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products
- Review contracts and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Track and analyze purchasing trends to optimize costs

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, systems, and best practices
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing
- Experience in vendor management and supplier relationship building
- Familiarity with inventory control principles and practices
- Ability to fabricate reports and analyze data to make informed purchasing decisions
- Proficient in using procurement software systems
