Day (United States of America)Credentialing Coordinator: Hybrid Schedule. The work schedule is flexible. Must be able to work 20 hours within Mon-Fri & 8a-5p timeframe.Job Description:
The Credentialing Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact between Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services (BILH BS) and the BILH Credentials Verification Office (CVO) and hospital Medical Staff Offices within the BILH system. The Credentialing Coordinator handles, with discretion, issues that are sensitive and confidential.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates with BILH BS providers to complete credentialing applications and submit to the CVO for review and processing
Tracks application process and follows up with providers related to outstanding documentation and information
Monitors expiring information such as, but not limited to, federal and state DEA, state professional license(s), professional liability insurance, specialty board certification status and hospital privileges.
Appropriately and timely communicate with CVO and medical staff offices
Assists with the development and implementation of credentialing and recredentialing workflows to ensure efficient and effective alignment of processes
Participates in special projects, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
High school diploma required
Five years’ experience working in an administrative role preferred
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Organized with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing processes & priorities
Ability to exercise sound judgement and to consult with supervisor as needed
Schedule - Part-time, 20 hrs.
