POSITION SUMMARY

To identify each day’s shipments and assure it is packaged correctly and appropriate documentation is completed accurately. Responsible to meet each day’s shipping schedule and notify the Shipping Manager if a problem should occur. Receive goods and stock in designated areas in an organized fashion.

Requirements:
  • Report to work as scheduled without tardiness, leaving early or absence, unless arranged in advance with supervisor.
  • Review backlog each day and prepare appropriate Packing Slips and Bill of Lading when required without error.
  • Coordinate with Shipping Manager to assure loads are ready and prepared correctly and loaded safely. Ensure the daily paperwork is properly completed.
  • Build crates / pallets as required to support production / shipping requirements
  • Strives to ensure deliveries are on time to serve our customers needs and without errors.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner. Always follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required. Wear seatbelt always when operating the forklift.
  • Manage warehouse operation, by unloading trucks and maintaining the warehouse, inventory and shop floor in a clean orderly fashion.
  • Ensures all garbage dumpsters are removed from the facility as needed and at the end of each shift. NO garbage to remain in the facility over night.
  • Ensures yard is orderly, garbage picked up, and no items stored in or around fire hydrants or exits.
  • Be able to multi-task between departments.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School preferred or equivalent job knowledge and experience.

Minimum one-year experience in Warehouse/Shipping.

Ability to operate independently with minimum supervision.

Ability to contact outside resources in a professional manner.

Minimum 1-year plus strong experience in forklift operation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift minimum of 60 to 100 lbs. overhead

Ability to climb on a loaded tractor/trailer

Able to work in inclement weather safely
