Administrative Assistant

Job Description:

• This position will be assembling policies that take about 30 min a piece. Handling scanning.
• They ONLY use paper nothing is electronic so this person needs to be able to navigate in a more old school software. They will work independently for the most part supporting the underwriters a group of 13 total.
• The Underwriting Assistant (UA) position is responsible for assisting the underwriters in rating, managing data collections and issuance of our policies.
• Job duties will be assigned to the UA based on several factors, including but not necessarily limited to performance, experience and qualifications and may vary from UA to UA.

Job Duties for the position include:

• Responsible for calculating the rates and premium amounts due us from our customers for the products that we provide to them
• Preparing policies and billings for our customers
• Analyzing data from Underwriters’ instructions to issue policies that are new or expiring, using computer programs and rating manuals, calculates and recording premium rates due from our customers for insurance policies.
• Completes endorsements, applying pricing modification factors to premiums as instructed by the underwriter
• Completes and reviews worksheets, writing scratch copies of policy forms and indicating information on expiring policies from which new policies will be processed
• Completes sections of premium coding accounting records for each processed transaction
• Verifies corrections of each others work to insure quality product is produced for our customers

Hours: 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM
